Privacy Policy

The short version

We built this so the tools that read your text (Chat Digest, Circle Check) don't keep it. Your pasted chat and your list of contacts are sent to Claude (Anthropic) to generate a result, that result is sent back to your browser, and the raw text you typed is not written to our database. The two tools that need to remember something to work (Gather's event pages, Reader's list of feed URLs) do store what's necessary for that — details below.

What we collect and why

Account cookie. A random ID in a cookie, so you can come back to your plan and usage limits. No name, email, or password is required to get one.

Chat Digest & Circle Check. The text or contact list you submit is sent to Anthropic's Claude API for processing and the result is returned to you. We do not save this content on our servers. It may pass through Anthropic's standard API infrastructure subject to Anthropic's privacy policy.

Gather. Event details you create (title, time, place, invite copy) and any RSVPs submitted by guests are stored so the event's public page can work. Guests submitting an RSVP should assume their name and note are visible to the event organizer and to anyone with the event link.

Reader. The feed URLs you add are stored against your account so we can check them on your behalf. We don't store the articles themselves beyond a short-lived digest.

Payments. Handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card number. We keep a record that a payment happened (amount, date, which plan) to grant access.

Analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand aggregate traffic (pages visited, rough location, device type). It does not see the content of anything you submit to a tool.

Who else sees data

Anthropic (Claude API, to generate results), Stripe (payments), and Google (analytics). We don't sell data, and we don't share it with anyone else.

Deleting your data

Email {{CONTACT_EMAIL}} from any address with your account cookie value (shown on your account page) or event link, and we'll delete the corresponding Gather/Reader records. Since Digest and Circle Check never store your content, there's nothing to delete there beyond usage counters.

Not professional advice

Circle Check offers relationship observations generated by an AI model based only on what you type in — it is not therapy, counseling, or professional relationship advice, and shouldn't be treated as either. If you're going through something heavier than "I've been a bad texter," please talk to an actual person — a friend, or a professional.
